To All Rangers:
In the event that it is allowed or no previous order exists, I would like to mention the following:
Organization: The following could be the chain of command for the Ranger Division. A Grand Master would be the adviser to the king and be in command, as a captain, when the time comes for war. Masters would be in charge of certain outposts and would then become the Lieutenants in time of war. Apprentices would be like sergeants and would be the immediate trainers of the new additions to the Ranger Corps. Finally, Novices would be the grunts and would be the most numerous in the organization.
Layout: Depending how vast the kingdom is going to be, I propose to have outpost. There will still be independence and solidarity at the same time. An outpost will provide for a centralized and stable place to receive official messages from the King and also a base of operations from which to launch or defend. I have further subdivided the land into quadrants or sections and these can be further divided as necessary. I have divided it into Norther, Southern, Eastern, Western and Home guard. Home guard being the capital and surrounding areas.
Armor and Weapons: The bow and arrow are a given, however, I suggest that in order to give the players more leeway choice of armor and weapons should be up to them. A distinguishing mark is necessary to prove you belong to the Kingdom however and they can be fabricated by the moderators or by the specific player playing a ranger on that specific Quadrant. It can also be put to the vote so as to select the most favorite emblem that would be respected and well liked in the kingdom.
Advancement: unless otherwise dictated, all players will start their careers as a novice and will advance either by experience and tests or by appointment. Call names and titles can be discussed further.
Administration: I believe every post should comprise of one master, three or more Apprentices and five or more Novices for every apprentice. These would then be in charge of their quadrant and patrol a certain section of their quadrant with one always manning the outpost. This gives the players flexibility in where and what they are doing at a certain place and time and in game keeps the army trained and our lands secure.
Training: It is my idea that every person joining must go through a test to see if they are qualified to be ranger and that after wards the training is dependent on the master they are assigned to. To be an overall and well trained person they may request or be appointed to different outpost at various point in time.
Misc: It is my suggestion that decorations, quests and stuff like that should be handled by a formed committee, or Council. Also, games can be held every now and then to test and challenge in time of peace. Any other suggestions or concerns please let me know. If you like what I have said or would like to change or modify just let me now we are all here to have fun.
Well, that is all I have. See you in the boards
Very respectfully
